A coaxial cable stripping tool has a pair of opposing jaws (12, 14) which include a stripping jaw (12) and a clamping jaw (14) supported at associated ends of a pair of pivotally moveable operating handles. The stripping jaw has a pair of spaced apart cutting and stripping blades (20, 22) for cutting axially spaced portions of a cable to be stripped when the cable is gripped by the jaws and the tool is rotated about the axis of the cable. The jaws are normally spring biased to closed position and move to open position in response to operation of the handles. A clean-out rod (24) mounted in cantilever position on one of the handles sweeps through the space between the blades to dislodge scrap material trapped between the blades each time the handles are operated to open the jaws.
|
