<p>The low pressure propulsion system with incorporated lift generation comprises two horizontal, parallel outlet ducts (1) on opposite sides of the cabin. The outlet ducts are as long as the hull structure; each duct (1) is divided into two sub-ducts (24, 25). Sub-duct (24) is tubular and transmits the low pressure propulsion air. Sub-duct (25) is laminar and transmits the lift air to a flexible skirt with assisted segments. The segmented flexible skirt comprises two parts (10, 11): a main segment (10) providing lift for the air cushion vehicle, and an additional cushion (11) providing lift for the main segment (10). This additional cushion (11) is integral with the lower front portion of the main segment (10). The air supply to this additional cushion (11) is taken from the main segment (10) through a suitably positioned communication passage (12). The invention applies to air cushion vehicles.</p> |
