Support for patient's leg in plaster cast - consists of endless rubber band which passes under patient's foot and around waist

A patient with the foot and lower part of the leg encased in a plaster cast, is provided with means to support the leg and plaster. An endless rubber band (2) passes under the patient's foot and around the patient's waist. The two sides (5,6) of the rubber band are connected to each other (10) at a point near the foot and at a point near the waist. Buckles (14) are provided to enable each (5,6) of the rubber bands (2) to be adjusted for length. The part of the rubber band which passes under the foot is provided with a protective leather strip.
