ELEKTRONISCHER KOMPASS MIT NEIGUNGSWINKELKORREKTUR
摘要
Proposed is a vehicle-mounted electronic compass which measures with a magnetometer the horizontal component of the Earth's magnetic field. When changes in height above sea level occur, a pressure sensor is used to measure the atmospheric pressure as a function of distance travelled, the pressure being used as a measure of the change in altitude. From the change in altitude, the change in the angle in inclination for the distance travelled is calculated and used to correct the measured magnetic field strength.
