<p>PURPOSE:To speedily transport a tape from the beginning to the end of the tape at a high speed by controlling a tape speed for its forward/rewinding modes to be constant based on a control signal detected by a control head. CONSTITUTION:The control signal is detected by the control head 3 and inputted via an amplifier 16 to a servo IC 17 to be formed into a square wave. This control signal is differentiated by C2 and R8, and moreover peak-detected by D1, R9, C3 and R10. When a period of the control signal is shortened, a peak- detected DC voltage is raised to turn on Tr2, and an input voltage to be input ted to a capstan motor drive amplifier 12 is restricted by R11. On the other hand, at the fast forward/rewinding time, SW1 is on by a signal from a com mand switch 13 to control a motor drive voltage not to make a tape speed increase more than a fixed speed, and the tape is transported at a constant speed on the whole.</p> |
