PURPOSE:To provide a cheap and easy-to-manufacture fuel cell including a cooling plate excellent in cooling performance, with which there is no fear of damage of separator, by fabricating the cooling plate in an extrusively shaped article from Al, and interposing a solid lubricant between the cooling plate and each separator. CONSTITUTION:A cooling plate 1 is installed approx. in the middle of unitary cells 8 in a stack. A separator 7 is interposed between this cooling plate 1 and each unitary cell 8. A solid lubricant 2 consisting of boron nitride is applied between the cooling plate 1 and separator 7. Because made in an extrusive shaped article from Al, this cooling plate 1 is easily manufacturable, light weight, and cheap. Further because of said interposing of solid lubricant 2, the separators 7 are free from fear of receiving damages even though the difference in the thermal expansion causes friction between the cooling plate 1 and separators 7 when temp. of fuel cell rises or falls. |
