PURPOSE:To obtain copies suitable for the type of post-processing such as binding copies together by controlling the feed starting timing of a copying device employing such a system that scans an image while a document is fed from an ADF with a scanner standstill. CONSTITUTION:An automatic document feeder (ADF) 400 is provided to set a two-in-one mode. This device is provided with an input means which designates the timing of a last document, and a control means which starts scanning the last document at the designated timing when the last document is odd numbered under the two-in-one mode. Therefore, when an odd number of documents are set to the ADF 400 and the two-in-one mode is established, whether the copied image of the last document (a first paged document) is formed on a right or left half part of paper can be designated through the input means. Thereby, the forming position of the copied image on the first page (the last document) can be designated at the request of a user. |
