<p>The invention relates to a lock for a motor-vehicle door, of the type comprising a lever for opening from outside the vehicle and a member for controlling from inside the vehicle, making it possible to open, lock and release the lock by means of a bowden cable which drives a rider interacting with said lever and said member. The lock according to the invention is characterised in that the end of said bowden cable (9) adjacent to said control member (8) is seated between the branches (21, 24) of a securing piece (19) in the general form of a U, the bottom (20) of which bears on said rider (11) and which can tilt on this bottom (20), one branch (21) of said piece (19) interacting with a catch (23) of said cable (9), a securing pusher (25) being provided for interacting with the other branch (24) in order to tilt said piece (19) and shift the first branch (21) away from said catch (23) of the cable (9).
