METHOD FOR OBTAINMENT OF LIGHT- SENSITY NOVOLAK RESIN

The method can be applied for the synthesis of products for the micro-electronic industry and printing. It is a technologically feasible method and the acceptor and organic solvent used, as well as the products obtained display a low level of toxicity. A light sensitive "Novolac" resin is produced by the method which represents an ether of cresol-formaldehyde novolac resin and 1,2 naphtoquinonazide/2/-5 sulphonyl chloride in the presence of an acceptor for hydrogen chloride (triethanolamines) evolved during the etherification in organic solvent medium.
