<p>PURPOSE: To obtain disposable swabs with absorbent ends usable as a tool for applying or removing cosmetics by forming a swab with an end comprising an absorbent substance which is lipophilic. CONSTITUTION: A swab 1 comprises at its end a part 2 made of lipophilic polyolefins such as polyethylene or polypropylene in a micro-fiber form. Polyethylene and polypropylene are lipophilic substances when they are in a micro-fiber state. Since a mass of them has small resistance, from a standpoint of manufacture, the optimum result is obtained by using polyethylene which does not cause slipping so as to make manufacture of swabs with absorbent ends easy. Particularly, the most recommended polymer is the one with a flow coefficient of about 30g/10min (30g per 10 minutes. A polyolefin is also as hydrophilic substance, and can replace substances with all properties of cotton wool such as flexibility, absorption, as well as lipophilic property. The swab 1 may have the part 2 at its one end or both ends, and may be formed to be bendable.</p> |
