<p>A tamper-evident closure (1) for a spirits bottle (2) and the like, which can be easily and rapidly applied to the bottle (2) during the bottling step and affords improved pouring of the bottle (2) contents in use, comprises a cap having an inside threadway (19), a cylindrical sleeve (20) coaxial with the cap (9), having an upper edge (21), an outside threadway (24) matching the inside threadway (19) of the cap (9), an inside spline formation (25) and a lower edge (22), as well as a tamper-proofing seal (27) formed between the cap (9) and the sleeve (20), the sleeve (20) being adapted to arrange itself with the upper (21) and lower (22) edges facing respective shoulders (6,7) formed on the bottle (2), and with the inside spline formation (25) engaged with a corresponding spline formation (8) formed on the bottle (2).</p> |
