发明名称 VAPOR BRAZING METHOD FOR AL OR AL ALLOY
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an assembly excellent in surface treatment properties and corrosion resistance in post treatment by inserting an Al or Al alloy assembly into a non-oxidizing atmospheric furnace held at brazing temperature and introducing chloride or fluoride flux vapor into the furnace for brazing. CONSTITUTION:When the Al or Al alloy assembly is put in the non-oxidizing atmosphere wherein chloride or fluoride flux vapor exists, the vapor adheres uniformly to the assembly and breaks the oxide film on its surface and promotes braze wettability. The generation of such vapor can be accomplished by heating the assembly to a temperature near the molting point of the flux. Consequently, the flux heated on the outside of the furnace to generate the vapor and the non-oxidizing gas is supplied as carrier into the furnace.
