PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer dyestuff-giving material capable of forming a transfer picture image having a good keeping quality by providing a part other than a dyestuff-giving layer with a fading inhibitor giving layer. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer dyestuff-giving material has at least one dyestuff-giving layer containing a thermal migratory dyestuff and binder on a substrate and performs record through causing a dyestuff in the shape of a thermally applied pattern to migrate to the image-receiving layer of a thermal transfer image-receiving material. A fading inhibitor giving layer is provided in a part other than the dyestuff-giving layer on the same side as the side, on which the dyestuff-giving layer of the substrate exists. In an operation for transferring one image plane, the antifading agent is preferably transferred after the transfer of the dyestuff and the fading inhibitor giving layer is preferably provided after one dyestuff-giving layer or a series of such layers. The fading inhibitor giving layer has the fading inhibitor and binder and as such a fading inhibitor, ultraviolet absorber, hydroquinon derivative, phenol derivative, chroman compound, spiroindan derivative or hindered amine derivative is used especially. |
