STATIC REACTIVE POWER CONTROLLER

摘要

PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a reactor and thyristor circuit by connecting the reactor to the connection point between the reactor and the thyristor circuit in order to suppress the discharge current of a capacitor and then connecting the capacitor to the reactor. CONSTITUTION:The voltage Vc of a capacitor circuit consisting of a reactor 2 and a capacitor 3 is applied to the capacitor 3. Then the voltage Vc changes the level of the reactive power that passes through the reactor 1 even though the voltage of a connection terminal is kept constant owing to the presence of the reactor 1. Therefore the capacity necessary for the reactor and a thyristor circuit is equal to (QRMAX + QCMIN) when the reactive power of the capacitor produced with the leading reactive power QCMAX is defined as (QCMAX + QRIMAX) with the reactive power of the capacitor produced with the lagging reactive power QRMAX defined as QCMIN respectively. Thus the capacity of the reactor and the thyristor circuit can be reduced compared with a conventional system.
