<p>PURPOSE:To obtain quality deterioration-inhibiting agent suppressible of glassiness of fruit and preventable of quality deterioration of fruit for a long period of time by containing chelate calcium as active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:Quality deterioration-inhibiting agent of fruit is produced by containing chelate calcium as active ingredient. As the chelate calcium, e.g. the chelate of calcium and a compound such as polyaminocarboxylic acid such as ethylenediamine tetraacetate, oxycarboxylic acid such as citric acid and amino acid such as glycine are exemplified. Said chelate calcium is mixed into base material such as lanolin to make paste, or dissolved in water and adhered to fruit or fruit tree by means of coating, spraying or dipping, etc., to prevent glassiness generating in fruit and prevent quality deterioration. Besides, concentration of the chelate calcium is suitably about 0.01-1%.</p> |
