Eave trough guard is a device to prevent debris from clogging an eave trough. It is comprised of an eave trough cover attached to a holder and manipulated by a tilting bracket and tilting line. The components of the invention are arranged so that by pulling on the tilting line the tilting bracket erects the eave trough cover into an upright position and the collected debris is thrown off.
