PURPOSE:To measure the concn. of hydrogen peroxide in a short period of time with a high detection sensitivity by impressing a triangular wave signal of a prescribed voltage to an electrode to active the electrode prior to measurement and obtaining the difference in the current values detected by two times of pulses. CONSTITUTION:One pulse of the triangular wave voltage is first impressed to the working electrode 2. The 1st pulse voltage of 750mV is then impressed for one second and the 1st current value flowing in the electrode 2 is measured in the subsequent T1 period. The 2nd pulse voltage of 1100mV is in succession impressed to the electrode and the 2nd current value flowing in the electrode 2 in the subsequent T2 period is measured. The difference between the 1st and 2nd current values is computed by a microcomputer 8. Nearly a linear relation is obtd. in a prescribed range between this differential current value and the concn. of the hydrogen peroxide and, therefore, if the relations between the known concns. of the hydrogen peroxide and the differen tial current values are previously obtd. and the characteristic table thereof is storaged, then the concn. of the hydrogen peroxide is instantaneously calculated from the detected current value in accordance with such stored data. |
