PURPOSE:To obtain the subject remedy containing Coptidis Rhizoma or an extract thereof as an active ingredient without any side effects even in continuous use for a long period. CONSTITUTION:A remedy for psoriasis bulgaris containing Coptidis Rhizoma or an extract thereof with water and/or an organic solvent (e.g. methanol or acetone) as an active ingredient. The Coptidis Rhizoma is preferably pulverized and powdered for use and the extracting solvent used in the extraction is preferably distilled away by freeze-drying.
