PURPOSE: To certainly bond the start end of a new roll to a receding residual web by bonding the start end of the roll to the outer web layer of a material to be printed and positioning the start end edge part of the roll within the middle region of an adhesive strip to apply an adhesive to the outer surface of the start end of the roll. CONSTITUTION: An adhesive strip 4 is brought about so that the middle region 6 thereof comes into contact with the start end 2 of a roll and one adhesive region 5 is bonded to the start end 2 of the roll and the other bonding region 7 thereof is bonded to the region adjacent to an outer paper layer. By cutting the edge part 3 at an angle different from a right angle and obliquely coating the adhesive strip 4, the perforation 9 of the adhesive strip 4 is certainly cut from a single side at a time of the adhesion of the roll during roll replacement. Subsequently, since the outer surface of the start end 2 of the roll has an adhesive, an adhesive surface certainly ensuring the cutting of the perforation can be formed. |
