PURPOSE:To obtain a hot air space heater having a good start of the rotation of a fan even at the time of a low temperature and capable of suppressing noises caused by the rotation of the fan at the time of a high temperature by applying the maximum driving force for rotation to the hot air blowing fan at the initial stage of starting the rotation irrespective of an input into a burner. CONSTITUTION:A temperature in a room is detected by a room temperature sensor 14 simultaneously with the starting of forced combustion. In a case where a temperature in the room is 0 deg.C or below, the maximum driving force (100% voltage) for rotation is applied to a fan 11 without controlling the rotation of the fan 11, and the application of the maximum driving force is continued until a force combustion time (several tens of seconds to a few minutes) is finished. On the other hand, in the case where a temperature in the room exceeds 0 deg.C, the maximum driving force (100% voltage) for rotation is applied to the fan 11 for a few seconds in a like manner. When the starting time is finished, the driving force (voltage control) for the rotation of the fan is controlled so as to be balanced with an input into a burner (at this point of time, the burner is in the state of forced combustion). Even in a case where a temperature in the room is not higher than 0 deg.C, or exceeds 0 deg.C, combustion by the burner is carried out by means of a predetermined input computed based on a temperature in the room and a preset temperature after the forced combustion time is finished, and further, the number of rotations of the fan 11 is controlled by the driving force for rotation, which is balanced with combustion by the burner. |
