Foot rest for persons with seated work position, for example staff at check-out counters and the like, comprises a raisable and lowerable foot plate, the foot plate constituting or being supported by a frame 5, which is in turn supported by one or more scissor-like links, comprising firstly a first arm 1.1, the lower end of which rests against a support surface, for example a floor, and the upper end of which is displaceable along a guide 5.3 in the frame 5, the guide 5.3 extending in a plane perpendicular to the rotational axis of the scissor- like link, and secondly a second arm 1.2, the lower end of which rests against the floor and the upper end of which is rotatably connected to the frame 5, and the arms 1.1,1.2 of the scissor-like links forcibly being mutually rotatable by means of a drive mechanism 9,10,15. <IMAGE> |
