PURPOSE:To attain a long distance in use with low power consumption and miniaturization by forming an optical wireless transmitter/receiver by providing a photodetector to receive an optical wireless signal at an optical wireless transmitter. CONSTITUTION:The transmitter/receiver is formed so that the optical axis of a light emitting element 1 is mounted obliquely and it can coincide with the optical axis of a lens 4. Light emitted from the element 1 passes a prism 3, and is made incident on the lens 4, and is outputted as parallel rays. Therefore, since no diffusion of light from the element 1 occurs, no plural elements 1 are required, and optical output can be increased, and the long distance in use can be obtained. Also, since no increment of the number of elements 1 is realized, the low power consumption can be realized. Also, incident light from the outside is converged on the lens 4, and is made incident on the prism 3, and is reflected on the prism, then, irradiates the photodetector 2. In such a way, since combination of the element 1 and the element 2 with the lens 4 is realized, it is possible to reduce the shape of an optical system B, therefore, to miniaturize the optical wireless transmitter/receiver A. |
