PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform accurate sweeping automatically even through spot groups are shifted, by providing two spot tracking light irradiating terminals in a light sweeping means, detecting the intensity difference of said signals, and driving the sweeping means in the direction of the X axis. CONSTITUTION:Sample solution is dropped on a sample spreading plate used for the thin layer chromatography and the spot groups B, C, and D are formed. The light is irradiated from a sweeper S on said groups, and the quantity of the component of the spot groups is analyzed. In this case, the spot tracking light irradiating terminals 1a and 2a and a light irradiating terminal 3a for determining the quantity of concentration are provided in the sweeper S. The intensities of the signals generated by 1a and 2a are compared, and the sweeper S is driven in the X axis direction by a servomotor so that the results of the comparison become equal. Even though the spot groups are shifted when the sweeper S is moved in the Y axis direction for the measurement, the central part of the groups can be always swept, and the accuracy can be improved. |
