PURPOSE:To obtain a device capable of performing automatically inserting, processing, and releasing processes by performing bending at the central sliding part of a processing structure and providing an inserting and releasing mechanism to the sliding part, in a hemming for pressing a band material of flat sheet metal in its width direction. CONSTITUTION:A hemming structure is constituted of a narrow width groove 17a provided with a bending punch 20 and a wide groove 17b. A material W to be processed is inserted in a groove 9 used for a plate of the main body 1 of a holder and in the groove 17b. The material W is locked by an insert block 14 entered from a hole 4b of the main body 1. When a sliding part 2 is lowered, the material W enters the groove 17a and is bent by the punch 20. Then the material W enters the upper side by the rise of a push up pin and the sliding part 2 and the retreat of a block 14 and enters the groove 17b by the retreat of the pin. In this state, the material W is laterally taken out from the groove 9. The inserting, processing, and releasing processes are automated in series to improve its operating efficiency. |
