PURPOSE:To prepare a fluororesin compsn. excellent in the thermal stability, solvent resistance, mechanical properties, and weather resistance by using a copolymer contg. fluorinated acrylate units and N-alkylmaleimide units in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:A resin compsn. comprising a copolymer contg. 30-99.8wt.% fluorinated acrylate units and 70-0.2wt.% N-alkylmaleimide units of formula I (wherein R1 is methyl, ethyl, propyl, isopropyl, butyl, sec.-butyl, tert.-butyl, hexyl, or cyclohexyl). Examples of the usable fluorinated methacrylate unit are monomers of formula II (wherein X1 is H or F; (n) is 1 or 2; (m) is 4-10; and X2 is H or F) and formula II (wherein X3 is H, F, or methyl; (l) is 1 or 2; (k) is 2-10; X4 is H or F; and R2 is methyl, ethyl, or propyl). |
