PURPOSE:To provide the toner having excellent flowability and triboelectrostatic charge characteristics and excellent fixability by treating the toner at the temp. above the glass transition temp. of a polyester resin. CONSTITUTION:The resin particles obtd. by incorporating the polyester resin as a binder resin therein and grinding the mixture after melting and kneading the mixture and silica having the polarity reverse from the polarity of the resin particles are mixed and the mixture is treated at the temp. above the glass transition temp. of the polyester resin in a liquid which does not dissolve the constituting components of the resin particles. Namely, the silica having the polarity reverse from the polarity of the resin particles are added to the amorphous resin particles in which the polyester resin having the excellent fixability is used as the binder resin to electrostatically stick the silica to the resin particles, by which the composition of the particles with each other and the fusion of the particles to agitating vanes are obviated even if the resin particles are agitated at the temp. above the Tg of the polyester resin in the liquid which does not dissolve the constituting components of the resin particles. The spheroidization of the resin particles is thus efficiently executed. Thus, the fogging and the intra-machine splashing are prevented. |
