The subject of the present invention is devices for illuminating the display dials of measurement appliances. A device according to the invention for illuminating the display dial (3) of a measurement appliance (1) including a casing (4), includes an annular skirt (5) which fits around the casing (4). It furthermore includes two lugs (6) in the form of an angle bracket (7, 8) made of a flexible, insulating and transparent resin in which are embedded light-emitting diodes and cells (batteries) powering them.
