The invention relates to a method of making such a case body in which varnish is sprayed on the inside of a case body blank before shaping it into a case body. Varnish is coated only on an internal zone (21) of the case body blank extending from its upper free end (100) to at most 15 mm from this end, and the end-section (10) of the edge of the said upper free end (100).
