PURPOSE:To obtain polymerized toner for developing an electrostatically charged image which has no particulate stuck on a toner surface by obtaining a 80 - 100% maintaining rate of the specific surface area of polymerized toner before and after shaking. CONSTITUTION:This polymerized toner is obtained by suspension polymerization and when it is mixed which carriers and shaken, the maintaining rate of the specific surface area of the polymerized toner before and after the shaking is held at 80 - 100%. For example, when the degree of polymerization of a polymerizable monomer exceeds 95%, the reaction temperature in a polymerizing process is raised 30 deg.C or above the glass transition temperature of binder resin, suspended particles are softened, and forcible agitation is carried out so as to unite particulates sticking on suspended particle surfaces with the suspended particles. The suspended particles collide against a reaction container wall, etc., or each other by the forcible agitation and then the particulates sticking on the suspended particle surfaces are united with the suspended particles with an impact force. Consequently, toner which has no floating particulate on its toner surface and is excellent in development characteristics is obtained. |
