PURPOSE:To sensitively perform cooling even when heat is increased with loading increased as well as to make a device compact in its outer shape by arranging, in an electrolyte solution chamber, a cooling pipe for allowing cooling medium to flow. CONSTITUTION:A cooling pipe 3 is arranged within the electrolyte solution chamber 29 of the single cell of a free electrolyte solution type fuel battery so that let cooling medium pass through within the pipe. Reactive temperature is thereby directly transferred to cooling medium through the cooling pipe 31 is electrolyte solution. This thereby enables sensitive cooling with small thermal resistance to be performed, and also permits cooling holes which have been provided in bi-polar plates 21 to be eliminated, whereas spaces equivalent to the aforesaid holes are saved, the fuel battery can thereby be so constituted as to be compact in its outer shape. |
