The invention relates to a bollard intended to prevent and select access or passage for vehicles, by virtue of its variable height, consisting, according to the main patent, of a movable item of equipment 10 which can be displaced vertically in a casing, and be locked at predetermined levels. The locking system which forms the subject of the addition is characterised in that it uses a set of levers 3 and 4 controlled by a single tilting mechanism 5, using a personalised key; the blocking in the top or bottom position after unlocking being provided by clip fastening.
