PURPOSE:To make a wire net have heat retaining property, to completely burn exhaust gas, and to reduce noxious gas, by inserting a heat resisting and insulating sheet into a cylindrical wire net, and corrugating this sheet. CONSTITUTION:A wire net 13 is molded by inserting a heat resisting and insulating sheet 11 into a cylindrical wire net 10 obtained by knitting a metallic thin wire, and corrugating said sheet by a corrugating roller 12. Subsequently, it is inserted into the connecting part of an engine manifold 2 and a protector 3 in order that it has heat retaining property, and vibrationproof and heat retaining are executed at the same time. Accordingly, a radiation sound is reduced, also exhaust gas is completely burnt by the heat retaining effect, and oxidation of carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon is reduced. |
