<p>PURPOSE:To provide the title promoter capable of proliferation of undifferentiated cells, hematopoietic stem cells through its action on normal cells, containing, as active ingredient, human cell differentiation-inducible factor. CONSTITUTION:The objective promoter containing, as active ingredient, human cell differentiation-inducible factor such as (A) a factor [amino acid sequence from the amino terminal of formula I (X is unidentifiable or hard-to-identify amino acid by the Edman degradation technique); molecular weight: 50000+ or -10000 (gel permeation technique), 50000+ or -5000 (non-reductive SDS-polyacrylamide electrophoresis technique); isoelectric point: 8.9+ or -0.3; bindable to concanavalin A and lentil-lectin; and having cell differentiation-inducible effect on human and mouse leukemia cells] or (B) another factor having polypeptide expressed by an amino acid sequence of formula II or part thereof. The present promoter is useful for the recovery of the hematopoietic function after therapies such as bone marrow transplantation or chemotherapy.</p> |
