<p>PURPOSE:To realize an optical exchange composed of an optical means in high speed operation by providing an optical routing switch which stores a connection control signal in a form of an optical signal and is switched by the optical connection control signal. CONSTITUTION:An optical input PS1 propagates a fiber delay line 7-i inputted to an optical switch 6-i. In this case, a control signal SS1 is inputted to the optical switch 6-i and an optical signal is outputted and written not in the fiber delay line 7-i but in an optical memory 8-i. On the other hand, the optical memory 8-i is cleared by a reset signal RS1 in one bit period before when the control signal SS1 is inputted. Thus, after the control signal SS1 is inputted, the same connection control signal is inputted to the control terminal of an optical routing switch 4 over one exchange period to decide the optical propagation path.</p> |
