PURPOSE: To quickly resolve an excessive spin by determining the sum total of engine torque absorbed by the brakes of the right and left driving wheels, and by controlling the driving torque of the engine so that it is reduced as much as the amount having a prescribed relationship to the sum total thereof. CONSTITUTION: It is constituted in such a way that the pressurized fluid produced by a master cylinder 22 is supplied to the brakes 18, 20 provided to the front wheels 10, 12 being driving wheels via a pair of actuators 24, 26. When an excessive spin is produced at the time of acceleration of a vehicle or the like, the respective actuators 24, 26 are controlled by a traction controller 36 to restrain spinning. In this case, the sum total of engine torque represented by the total amount of the braking forces supplied to the respective brake 18, 20 and absorbed by both the brakes 18, 20 is determined. Then, the opening of an auxiliary throttle valve 38 is controlled so that the driving torque of the engine is reduced as much as the amount that has a prescribed relation with the above sum total. |
