PURPOSE:To obtain a foam excellent in heat resistance, useful for packaging materials, thermal insulating materials, cushioning materials, etc., by expanding a resin composition containing e.g. a copolymer produced by copolymerization between an aromatic vinyl monomer and (meth)acrylic acid as the essential components. CONSTITUTION:The objective foam can be obtained by expanding a resin composition comprising (A) a copolymer produced by copolymerization between an aromatic vinyl monomer and (meth)acrylic acid as the essential components [pref. styrene-(meth)acrylic acid copolymer] and (B) a second copolymer produced by copolymerization between an aromatic vinyl monomer and a diene monomer as the essential components (pref. styrene-butadiene block copolymer or styrene-butadiene random copolymer). |
