PURPOSE:To oxidize and decompose ozone at a high reaction rate even under high-load conditions by dipping a foamed carrier in a slurry contg. a catalytic material or further its precursor and fibrous matter to deposit the materials on the carrier. CONSTITUTION:A foamed carrier is dipped in a slurry contg. a catalytic material or its precursor and fibrous matter to deposit the catalytic material and fibrous matter on the carrier, and an ozonolysis catalytic filter is obtained. Polyurethane foam or a ceramic foam obtained by depositing a ceramic slurry on the polyurethane foam and calcining the slurry is exemplified as the carrier. MnO2, CuO, etc., are used as the catalyst and ceramic fiber, glass fiber, etc., as the fibrous matter. Ozone is decomposed by the catalytic filter at a high reaction rate even under high-load conditions. |
