A package, in particular for storing powder such as washing powder, comprises a tube-shaped body 1 which has a preferably polygonal and in particular rectangular cross section and is formed from a folded sheet which has areas separated by fold lines, of which some overlap and are secured to each other preferably with the aid of an adhesive. The package is closed at two opposite end walls 8, 9 which are each formed by flaps which are connected via fold lines to the tube-shaped body 1. The overlapping areas 6, 7 form an essentially two-walled side in the tube-shaped body 1, the two-walled side comprising an inner area 6, which is provided with an open region delimited by a line of weakening 10, and an outer area 7 whose secure connection to at least that region of the inner area 6 situated outside the open region can be easily torn open or broken open, the outer area 7 being designed to be left with a hinged connection to the package along a fold line 12. <IMAGE>
