<p>PURPOSE:To extract optional information in a time series optical signal with only an optical means by extracting bit information of a specific pattern inserted to a head of a time series optical signal, expanding the information into a required time width and using the result as an optical gate drive signal. CONSTITUTION:Each of an input port is provided respectively with optical input circuits 1-1-1-4. A specific light pattern signal extraction section 3 of the optical input circuit 1-1 extracts a specific pattern included in an optical input signal. An optical gate pulse generating section 4 generates a required gate signal from the extracted specific pattern. The specific pattern uses 2-bit '1'. A control signal extraction section 5 extracts destination information sets A1, A2 and converts them into an electric signal, a conversion control section 6 collects the destination information signal converted into the electric signal from all input ports and read request signals R1, R4 are sent from the part to the input optical memory 7. The optical memory 7 starts write by an optical gate drive signal from the optical gate pulse generating circuit 4 and starts readout by a readout request signal R1 from the exchange control section 6.</p> |
