PURPOSE:To generate many kinds of initial waveform data by composing initial waveform data of plural waveforms data optionally or selectively according to a control input. CONSTITUTION:Registers 140, 150, and 160 are stored with parameter codes A1-A3 for determining the initial waveform of a musical sound. Then ROMs 11-13 of an initial waveform generator 1 are stored with digital codes indicating amplitudes obtained by sampling one cycle of different musical sound waveforms in addresses in the phase order of sampling points. Then the ROMs 11-13 are selected according to the control input from a timbre control board and their read data are multiplied by the codes A1-A3 through multipliers 14-16 and added by an adder 7. Thus many kinds of initial waveform data are obtained. |
