摘要 PURPOSE:To improve adhesion and the surface characteristics of a dye transfer contributing layer by increasing the mixing ratio of the-NCO group of isocyanate to the-OH group of a compound having active hydrogen in the transfer contributing layer. CONSTITUTION:In a sublimation type thermal transfer medium in which a dye supply layer and a dye transfer contributing layer composed of sublimating dyes and an organic binding agent respectively are laminated on a base body successively from the base body side, the reaction product of isocyanate and a compound having active hydrogen is contained in both layers as an organic binding-agent resin, and the mixing ratio of the-NCO group of isocyanate to the-OH group of the compound having active hydrogen in the dye transfer contributing layer is made larger than that in the dye supply layer. Accordingly, the sublimation type thermal transfer recording medium for multiple printing, in which no printing unevenness is generated, an ink layer is not peeled and broken and the surface of the dye transfer contributing layer of the ink layer is not fused to an image-receiving layer and is not broken on thermal transfer, is acquired.
