PURPOSE:To enable software to easily read out bit pattern data different among individual devices by providing a ROM where random bit pattern data is preliminarily written. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 1 is connected through a system bus 2 to a ROM 3 where basic software is written, a RAM 4 where programs and data are stored, and a ROM 5 where random bit pattern data is preliminarily written. In a general purpose computer having this constitution, data in the ROM 5 where random bit pattern data allocated in a preliminarily determined address is written is freely read. Consequently, individual differences of devices of the same type of device are easily discriminated though plural devices of the same type of device exist. |
