Electronic input shutter for optical remote control - has opto-reflex light barriers on circuit board behind shutter with transmit and receiver components

The electronic input shutter is used for selection and energising of different working or program steps, and has a keyboard with function symbols. Behind the input shutter (1) are fitted opto-reflective light barriers (3) with transmit and receiver components (S,E) on a circuit board (2). Pref. the transmit component (S) of the light barriers have transmit diodes for IR radiation and for visible light. A part of the light barriers is typically fitted with receiver components (E) only. Alternately, all light barriers may be fitted only with receiver components. The light barrier transmit and receiver components may be used for manual input. USE/ADVANTAGE - Household etc. appts. remote control, with facility for both direct manual and remote control, and use of standardised components.
