The present invention relates to a sampling head having an input terminal (20) which receives a sampling signal, a diode bridge (30) to which said sampling signal is supplied, and a strobe pulse generator by which the gate time of said diode bridge (30) is controlled. A resonance tunnel barrier diode (RTD) is used as said strobe pulse generator, and said diode bridge (30) and said resonance tunne barrier diode (RTD) are formed on the same substrate in monolithic manner.
