Printing machine for rotary flexoprinting - has rotary drive on pressure cylinder, with friction driving stencil and raster cylinders

The printing machine comprises pressure cylinder (2) and alternately operated stencil (3) and raster cylinders (4) which rotate round parallel axes (26,36,46) in a common housing frame (10). The raster cylinder is contacted by a doctor blade (5) for inking, with a drive for the printing operation. The drive is fitted at the pressure cylinder only. The three cylinders are installed at variable axial spacing and pressed onto one another with a given force. The stencil cylinder is rotated by friction off the pressure cylinder, and the raster cylinder is rotated by friction indirectly off the pressure cylinder via the stencil cylinder. ADVANTAGE - Low-cost design, with improved work rate and print quality.
