The two-shell grab suspension on an articulated excavator boom has at the grab (4) slewing ring (6) a hinged mounting plate (7), while there is a bucket ram (5) on the boom arm (3a) on which the grab is mounted. The ram acts on the plate to tilt the grab. A motor (9) is pref. mounted between the plate and the slewing ring for the grab rotation.
