PURPOSE:To recognize the transmitting and the receiving operations, that is, using and non-using states of facsimile equipment from a remote position by sending different melodies from the facsimile equipment at the time of transmission and reception. CONSTITUTION:When a CPU 1 detects an incoming signal from a remote party, and confirms that the facsimile equipment was turned into a receiving state, it reads out a music selection button from a register, and drives a memory IC 9 so as to send the melody from a speaker 10. Then, when it detects the termination of the receiving state from a procedure signal in the process of circuit disconnection, it finishes the receiving operation at that point of time, and stops driving the IC 9. On the other hand, when it judges that it is not the receiving state, it decides whether it is the transmitting state or not. Then, when a transmission key, etc., is turned on, and it confirms that the transmitting state is established, next, it selects the music selection button, and drives the IC 9 and drives the speaker 10 so as to send the melody different from the former one. Then, when it detects the termination of the transmitting state from the procedure signal in the process of the circuit disconnection, it finishes the transmitting operation at that point of time, and in addition, stops driving the IC 9. |
