ELECTRIC POWER SOURCE FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and to improve the reliability by changing the voltage to be generated from a three-phase AC generator between power supply to a battery and power supply to a load having different rating voltage. CONSTITUTION:A transistor 71 is turned on through conduction of a switch 13 thus conducting silicon control rectifiers SCR 41-43 periodically. Three-phase AC voltage outputted from the stator coil 11 in a three-phase AC generator 1 is full-wave rectified through upper and lower half bridge circuits 2, 4 thus feeding power to a battery 8 and a first vehicle load 8a. The transistor 71 is turned on through breaking of the switch 13 and when a switch 5 is thrown in to connect a high voltage load 10 and the lower half bridge 3, a voltage full-wave rectified through the half bridge circuit 2 and the lower half bridge circuit 3 is applied onto the high voltage load 10.
