PURPOSE:To improve roundness of the whole of a reel hub containing a clamp by a method wherein when a clamp is mounted in a undercut groove formed in the outer peripheral part of a reel hub, the clamp is formed in a shape by which a part of the tape winding surface of the reel hub is formed, and formed in a manner to nip a magnetic tape or a leader tape from both sides. CONSTITUTION:An undercut groove 13 parallel to a rotary shaft is formed in a reel hub 11. The undercut groove 13 has a protruding cross section shown by an oblique line, and clamp 14 in which the end part of a leader tape 4 is inserted is engaged with the central part thereof and secured to the reel hub 11. The clamp 14 is integrally molded in a manner to nip the leader tape from both sides in a way that a plurality of perforations 41 are formed in positions in the leader tape 4, molding tools 22 and 23 are arranged in positions, where the perforations 41 are formed, and both sides of the leader tape 4 and molten resin is injected. Since the clamp is prevented from deformation, roundness of the whole of the reel hub is improved. |
