A device permitting a continuous and uniform release of active substances into waters for domestic use, characterised in that it consists of a system consisting of a receptacle made of a material which is impervious to water and to the active substance, into which the active substance is introduced, and fitted with a cap shut off by a membrane which is permeable to water and to the active substance and which has a mean pore diameter greater than 0.05 micron.
